Every visiting card, one tap into your sheet.
Point your phone at a card. Edcards reads the name, company, numbers, email and address on the phone itself, lets you check them, and keeps every card as one row of a sheet you can search and export to Excel.
Built for the stack of cards after every meeting
No more typing numbers from a card into your phone. Scan it once, check it, and it is in your sheet for good.
Reads on your phone
The card is read on the phone itself, not on a server. The app takes the photo the moment the card is steady.
You check before saving
Name, company, post, numbers, email, address and website come up in a form. Fix anything in a tap before the card is saved.
One searchable sheet
Every card is a row. Find anyone by name, company, number or the note you added about where you met.
Export to Excel
Excel, CSV or phone contacts, for all cards or a date range. Save one card straight to your contacts.
Backed up, on every phone
Cards are saved on the phone first and backed up to your account when you are online. Log in on a new phone and they all come back.
QR codes and Hindi cards
A QR code on the card fills in what the print leaves out. Cards printed in Hindi are read too, with one switch in Settings.
From card to sheet in three steps
Most cards take a few seconds, start to finish.
Photograph the card
Fit the card in the frame. The app takes the photo itself; add the back of the card if it has more on it.
Check the fields
The details appear in a form, already filled in. Correct anything that came out wrong and add a note.
Save, search, export
The card joins your sheet. Search it, call, WhatsApp or email from it, or export your cards to Excel.
Your contacts stay yours
A visiting card is someone's personal details. Edcards treats them that way.
Read the Privacy Policy- Read on the phone. The photo is not sent anywhere to be read; the text is taken from it on your phone.
- Only your account. Your cards and their photos are backed up to your account and shown to nobody else.
- Your choice to help. Sharing scans to improve the scanner is off unless you turn it on, and never includes the photo.
- Delete any time. Remove all your cards, or your whole account, from Settings.
No download needed
Edcards runs in your phone's browser. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app, full screen, and keeps working without internet.
Frequently asked
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Scanning, saving, searching and opening cards all work with no connection. Your cards are backed up to your account the next time the phone is online.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free account with your name, mobile and email. It is what keeps your cards backed up and lets you open them on another phone.
A field came out wrong. What do I do?
Fix it on the review screen before you save, or open the card later and edit it. For a better read, fit the card inside the frame, hold the phone flat and use good light.
Can it read cards in Hindi?
Yes. Turn on Settings → Read Hindi cards. It downloads once (about 8 MB) and then works offline like the rest of the scanner.
Can I export to Excel or my contacts?
Yes. Choose all cards, this month, the last 30 days or your own dates, and export to Excel, CSV or phone contacts. One card can be saved to contacts on its own.
Who can see my cards?
Only you. Cards and photos are backed up to your account and served to nobody else. You can delete all your cards, or your account, from Settings at any time.
